If you are charged with a DWI in Queens, you may lose your license for six months or more depending on the circumstances of your arrest. Also, if you refused to submit to a chemical test requested by law enforcement officers, New York law requires that you license be suspended for 12 months. Your license will be suspended for one year if you are under the age of 21 when you are arrested.  You may be able to seek a hardship license that allows you to drive to specific destinations such as work and school.
